Aethir's network exceeds 500,000 users, backed by NVIDIA and HPE. DePIN protocol Aethir has officially launched its decentralized cloud computing network on the Ethereum mainnet, along with its native token ATH. In the last two hours since its launch, the token leaped nearly 100%, data aggregator CoinGecko shows.Aethir’s platform enables the renting of high-performance compute resources for AI training or digital content rendering. Its economy is driven by the native token, ATH, which uses Ethereum for staking and Arbitrum for fast payments. The token also plays a key role in governance and security within the Aethir ecosystem. “By providing a scalable framework for redistributing idle compute resources, we can empower more innovation in the rapidly evolving domains of AI, ML, and cloud gaming,” said Mark Rydon, CCO at Aethir. “Now on mainnet, high-quality enterprises can contribute to the Aethir network and increase access to the current supply of GPUs.” According to the announcement, Aethir’s user base surpassed 500,000 on its testnet, following a successful $146 million node sale. Additionally, the protocol also secured backing from industry giants like NVIDIA and HPE, and now is taking another step to make its computing power accessible to AI and game studios worldwide. The protocol also offers a staking program that invites users to secure and expand its distributed GPU network. The ATH Gaming and ATH AI inaugural staking pools offer rewards in partnership with gaming and AI entities.Notably, decentralized public infrastructure network (DePIN) narrative is rising rapidly in popularity. In Q1, DePIN was the fifth-largest narrative in crypto, according to a CoinGecko report. Moreover, this sector is currently among the 30 largest by market cap.
